About The Founder

ABOUT THE FOUNDER, DR. RANDY OSAE BEDIAKO

Randy Osae Bediako is a young vision-minded, Ghanaian-based entrepreneur who is passionate about inspiring change in his generation. Randy believes he belongs to a new breed of entrepreneurs whose motivation for going into business is not just to satisfy a need and get rewarded for it, but most importantly, to use business as a tool to change the world and advance the kingdom of God on earth. Hence, he refers to himself as a “SpiritPreneur” ― a term he coined from two main words ― Spiritual and Entrepreneur ― meaning one who integrates his faith into his work for direct or indirect positive impact on God’s kingdom.

He is the founder of the SpiritPreneurship Summit, an annual conference that engages leading Christian Entrepreneurs, Business and Church Leaders for networking and learning opportunities. The unique and highly respected corporate event continues to inspire and teach a new generation of Christian entrepreneurs and business executives the need to understand the true purpose of wealth creation and how Christians can influence the marketplace for Christ.

As the CEO of Kharis Group, Randy oversees a growing indigenous media business empire with eight independent businesses which are being nurtured into full-fledged companies under the Kharis Group umbrella. Randy had his first-hand experience at managing a business at the age of 15, where he had direct oversight responsibility over his mother’s small wood carving business. To everyone’s dismay Randy managed and grew the business with so much adept skill that he took the business global.

Randy, however, registered and started his own business at the age of 22 while still in the second year at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2003 as a way of solving fundamental problems facing students, creating employment, financing the gospel and helping many to become financially independent through business.

In barely seven years of founding Kharis Group (formerly Kharis Media), The Kharis team and Randy have created eight different subsidiaries which provides direct and indirect employment to over 50 individuals. Kharis Group is popularly known for its flagship product, Kharis Africa, Africa’s premier Christian magazine.

Many corporate heads and Church leaders have referred to Randy as a phenomenal business brain, young accomplished serial entrepreneur, dynamic speaker, syndicated columnist, philanthropist and Christian thought leader. He has granted many interviews to leading radio and TV stations on critical issues concerning faith and business. Randy was recently named “The Joy FM Unique Achiever” ― an honour conferred on distinguished and exemplary change makers in society. He has also been featured in MM Focus magazine (Ghana’s leading media and marketing magazine) as an extraordinary business creator. Dr. Randy was recently recognized nationally as the 13th Most Influential Young Ghanaian by Avance Media Ltd.

His concern for the needy in society moved him to establish Kharis Foundation, a charitable subsidiary which offers aid to underprivileged individuals in society. Kharis Foundation, the relief unit of the company, at its inception and while Randy was still a national service personnel, paid the school fees of 13 intelligent, but destitute Islamic high school converts in 2010 and has since then made it a Corporate Social Responsibility to take care of destitute but intelligent students through school.

Randy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, and an honorary doctorate degree from International Christian University. He is married to Lois Osae Bediako, a legal practitioner by profession. They are blessed with a daughter.
